Oakwood Pizza

I would drive a hundred miles for this pizza. After decades, I haven't found better pizza within 100 miles, despite some serious competition. Why just 100 miles? Real Pizza outside the 100 mile radius doesn't exist. We all know that.

Just wanted to review this place for their amazing customer service. I accidentally ordered pickup here instead of at another location with the same name. They refunded me even though they already made my order. Please go support this place if you’re local! Good customer service is hard to come by these days. And I can say, the Oakwoood Pizza in Point Pleasant (they used to own both) is amazing so I’m sure this one is too.

Man.. this place used to be one of my favorite pizza shops. I recently ordered 3 slices to go and something has really changed.. the quality has really dropped off. Pizza was thinner than usual and kind of oily.. It also took me a while to place an order for 3 slices.. It felt like something was off from the usual service and taste of the pizza. The staff is the same from before, but usually when the quality takes a hit.. it usually indicates under new ownership.. the woman working the register also was frazzled with the new POS system.. also making me feel the shop is under new ownership.

Oakwood Pizza is a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy solid comfort food. The location is convenient, the place has been nicely renovated, and the atmosphere feels fresh and welcoming. I always judge a pizza place by its buffalo chicken pizza, and Oakwood absolutely nails it. The dough is thin and crispy, the flavors are spot on, and the balance of chicken, sauce, and cheese is perfect. The bacon and chicken slice is also an easy A+. Don’t skip the garlic knots—they’re delicious and a great side. On top of the food, the staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic place for great pizza, comfort food, and a good time.

What a pleasant surprise! Never know what to expect when you order a buffalo chicken pizza and I am happy to say I was very pleased! Will def order it again. The works pizza was also tasty! Also, appreciated the different size options you could get for each pizza.
